Hey, I'am Phil from Germany with a neverending urge to explore.

In spring 2016 me and my friend had the idea and curiosity to enter an abandoned house in our neighborhood. The two of us didn’t expect that this was the start of our passion for Urban Exploration. Since then I took a lot of pictures and uploaded them here on DA.

Although I'am continuing alone today my ambition for this hobby never went away and probably never will.

My goal is to explore every lost place no matter how small. This is why I have pictures of many unique spots uploaded which most explorers wouldn’t even bother exploring. Even if they aren’t that interesting sometimes they still have some special appeal and make for a few great pictures. Feel free to contact me if you want to trade locations.

I tend to give away an approximate location of my places by tagging city names in my posts. I don’t want to keep my discoveries completely secret and like to give other Urbexers the opportunity to find these locations with a little effort. I locate my Lost Places via Google Maps or by just driving around most of the time.

It's back. I am back. (sort of) The website is online again, so most links for the abandoned places histories should work again. Although as previously said, most will only work three years after the images were taken due to legal reasons.. Which is really annoying to me, but something I got to do to protect myself better from the monster which is the German legal system. The lawsuit is still ongoing although it has been 3/4 years since it was filed. If I lose it will get expensive I guess. At least it seems to have no consequences for my job (I work for the state). Anyway, I hope and think I will explore new things anytime soon this spring. I already revisited an old location and took new pictures from angles I hadn't captured before. The bigger explorations I try to do with the allowance of the owner now. Guess this will be the standard for the future most of the time. Maybe I miss the thrill, but what else should I do. I definitely don't want to stop and that's the compromise I

So how do I start? A lot of things are are going on. Currently, I have been hit with a lawsuit and I am struggling with it. This was the final event to start overthinking everything. Furthermore, I (Phil) continue this project alone now since some time. Now it has become even more dangerous and daring to do this alone all the time at such a high rate as in the last decade. As a matter of my own safety and the pleadings of the people close to me, I am stepping down in the future. It's a dangerous, illegal and sometimes egoistical hobby. You always have to remember that and evaluate if this fits your current lifestyle. I am almost 22 now, and not 14 when I started doing this with almost no responsibilities. I don't want to speak out against urban exploration, not at all. Do it if you want to. But always consider all the consequences that will follow if something goes wrong. The more you do, the higher the chance gets that something will go wrong. The whole thing can get you addicted

It's that time again. I made new drone shots and compiled them into a video. This time it features my long-time favorite, the Hotel Fürstenhof in Eisenach. It was quite windy that day, but I tried my best to get steady footage. As I didn't have the chance to venture inside, the footage focuses on everything I could capture from the outside without crashing the drone. These could be one of the last videos of it anyway since it is in a terrible shape now. I don't see it being saved now, things looked different at the time of our first visit in 2018. All that hope we and a lot of people in Eisenach had is gone now, just as the once-famous hotel itself will be too in the near future. Video below.
